Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for contributing to the marketing and sales of
MathWorks sophisticated engineering products used by customers in
the mechanical engineering domain; designing and developing
sophisticated software product models and simulations to
demonstrate MathWorks product capabilities in automotive control
systems; developing technical engineering demonstrations of
MathWorks modeling, simulation and analysis software to support the
companys sales activities; building data analytics integration
models and analytics systems to perform customer experience
analysis and analyze usage data to support data-driven sales
decisions; engaging and partnering with automotive customers in the
areas of automotive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and
Autonomous Driving (AD), with a focus on promoting the use of
MathWorks tools in their development and verification systems;
recommending technical approaches using the existing products and
developing proof of concept solutions for possible future products;
conducting Verification and Validation (V&V) for ADAS/AD;
developing virtual simulation environments using Unreal, MATLAB and
Simulink; building complete solutions involving sensor models,
driving scenarios, software integration and V&V; leading
engagements with key Tier-1 suppliers and OEMs in the ADAS/AD area
and promoting MathWorks tools capabilities; working closely with
the sales team and other customer-facing staff to provide technical
guidance for the successful adoption of MathWorks tools; leveraging
industry experience to build customer credibility; and advocating
for the future direction of MathWorks products based on customer
interactions. Requires frequent travel and on short notice. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems and
two (2) years of experience in job offered or two (2) years of
experience in modeling and simulation of virtual vehicles. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in model based design and development
using MATLAB and Simulink, including virtual vehicle simulations
using 3D visualization environments -- Automotive Simulation Models
(ASM), CarMaker, or Unreal -- for closed-loop simulation to model
and test controllers. Demonstrated expertise in verification and validation of
Advanced Driving Support System and Autonomous Driving (ADAS/AD)
simulations, including sensors, vehicle, and traffic models; and
compiling C code for real-time simulation and Hardware-in-the-loop
(HIL) testing of plant models. Demonstrated expertise performing traffic scenario simulation
creation that closely resembled real-world environments using
MATLAB, Simulink, and 3D Simulation Environments -- MotionDesk,
CarMaker, Unreal, or Unity. Demonstrated expertise in sensor simulation within an automated
