We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The Senior Accountant reports to the Controller and responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with review preparations and other accounting duties as assigned. To be successful as a Senior Accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. The Senior Accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detailed oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little or no supervision.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
• Preparing financial analyses and reports.
• Assist in the valuation and support of work in progress for both construction and manufacturing activities.
• Assistance with preparing and monitoring budgets.
• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Assisting with annual review preparations.
• Investigating and resolving review findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Preparing state, local and special tax returns.
• Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs or procedures.
• Performing other accounting duties.
• Occasional local and overnight travel is required.Required Education, Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with three years of experience or at least seven years accounting experience with some college instruction in a related field.Preferred Experience and Skills:
    • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of accounting functions
    • Knowledge and experience with accounting software, with a preference to Sage 300 CRE and/or QuickBooks Enterprise.
    • Sound understanding of business law, legal contracts and various financial issues including cash flow and working capital.
