Job Description:

We are working on a Controller role for a leading client in the Metro Detroit area. The role will work very closely with the Group Controller and the CFO in providing financial leadership in planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and monthly close process. Benefits: -- 3 weeks of PTO -- Tuition reimbursement -- Comprehensive health benefits -- 401K with a strong match -- Strong tenure and culture Responsibilities: -- Prepare financial reports, financial forecasts, and analysis to understand the financial state of business -- Ensure all financial statements and reports are completed in timely and accurate manner -- Lead and support quarter and year-end accounting close -- Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations -- Understand the financials of the company to meet compliance standards -- Monitor the company's financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs; review overhead budget to actual results with department managers -- Prepare cash flow reports, project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals -- Provide oversight and support for external audits Education and Experience: -- Bachelor---s degree in Accounting/Finance required -- A minimum 3 years of related experience.
