Position Overview ---
Autodesk seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Test within the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) organization, designated with testing robust and resilient APIs, services, data pipelines. Our platforms and services are part of the Customer data domain: Organizations and Persons. Our systems play a critical role for our order flows, pricing, as well as contributing to reporting, analytics, and prediction. Key stakeholders are Sales, Marketing, Web Properties, and Finance.
This role collaborates with Product Managers, Program/Project managers, Architects, Operations, and the Engineering Team to ensure data pipelines and delivery using modern testing tools and frameworks. It reports to the Engineering manager in Customer Data, with opportunity for growth. Communication skills are critical, and you must be comfortable distilling complex technical information to a non-technical audience as well as a strong collaborator within your team.

Responsibilities

• 
  Partnering with Product Managers and Engineers, distilling requirements and use cases into corresponding test Scenarios and test cases
  
  
• 
  Collaborating with Architecture and Engineering to understand solutions and implementation details for test design
  
  
• 
  Constructing automated pipelines and tests for cloud environments
  
  
• 
  Reviewing defects w/ engineering to ready features for delivery
  
  
• 
  Providing metrics and reporting on software quality across testing domains
  
  
• 
  Participating---as a proactive team member in an agile environment
  
  
• 
  Creative failure testing
  
  
  
  Minimum Qualifications ---
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Experience building automated software tests and pipelines in cloud-based environments
    
    
  • 
    Experience implementing and working with off the shelf test automation tools
    
    
  • 
    Understanding---of automated testing for web-based APIs---and Swagger style---platforms
    
    
  • 
    Experience with performance, stress,---and load testing---
    
    
  • 
    Experience---with orchestration tools (e.g. Jenkins, Docker, Electric Flow)
    
    
  • 
    Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. New Relic,---Grafana,---etc.)
    
    
  • 
    Experience with IaaS tools (Terraform,---CloudFormation)
    
    
  • 
    Experience with CI/CD and---familiarity---TDD/BDD
    
    
  • 
    Effective communication and collaboration skills, understanding how to tailor your message to your audience
    
    
  • 
    Powerful sense of ownership with a bias for action when challenges arise
    
    
  • 
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively across an organization
    
    
  • 
    Desire to investigate and follow best practices
    
    
  • 
    Experience and familiarity working in Agile delivery

    Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $109,400 and $188,760. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
