Canada, with continued expansion Position Summary The Accountant is
responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and
supporting timely monthly and annual financial reporting. This role
performs general ledger accounting, prepares journal entries and
reconciliations, supports audits and tax filings, and partners with
internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with accounting
standards and company policies. Responsibilities: Prepare and post
journal entries in the accounting system with appropriate
documentation in accordance with company policy and GAAP. Maintain
the general ledger and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual
account reconciliations including bank, balance sheet, and
subledger accounts. Prepare monthly financial statements and
supporting schedules including balance sheets, income statements,
and profit and loss reports. Perform cost accounting activities and
monitor assigned accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and
proper classification. Manage subledger schedules such as fixed
assets, leases, prepaids, and other assigned schedules. Support
month-end close activities including reconciliations, variance
analysis, and issue resolution. Provide audit and compliance
support by compiling documentation and responding to internal and
external audit requests. Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 1-3 years of relevant
accounting experience required Preferred Requirements Ability to
meet close deadlines and manage competing priorities. Strong
attention to detail and documentation standards. Advanced Excel
skills. Proficiency with ERP and accounting systems (NetSuite
preferred). Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.
Collaboration skills across multiple teams and departments.
Experience supporting audits and/or tax filings. Experience with
Cost Accounting. CPA or CPA track preferred but not required.
