café with Wi-Fi Responsibilities • Monitor a portfolio of mortgage
loans in active bankruptcy. • Review and maintain bankruptcy court
filings and documentation (e.g., proof of claims, motion for
relief, reaffirmation agreements). • Track case milestones
including filing, discharge, dismissal, and plan confirmation. •
Ensure all servicing actions adhere to the U.S. Bankruptcy Code,
CFPB regulations, and investor (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA)
guidelines. • Perform quality control reviews on legal filings and
attorney work. • Identify and escalate any compliance issues or
servicing errors. • Act as a point of contact for bankruptcy
attorneys and trustees. • Coordinate with internal teams such as
foreclosure, loss mitigation, and payment processing. • Respond to
inquiries from borrowers, legal counsel, or government agencies
regarding bankruptcy status and impacts. • Update loan servicing
systems with accurate and timely bankruptcy information. • Generate
and analyze reports related to bankruptcy case status, court
deadlines, and operational metrics. • Document account activity
thoroughly for audit and regulatory purposes. Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent
required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. • 2–4 years of
experience in mortgage servicing, bankruptcy, legal support, or a
related financial services role. • Strong understanding of Chapters
7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy processes. • Familiarity with servicing
systems (e.g., MSP/Black Knight) and legal tracking platforms
(e.g., LPS, Tempo). • Excellent organizational, analytical, and
problem-solving abilities. • Strong written and verbal
communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and
deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Nice To Have Qualifications:
Experience working with investor guidelines (FHA, VA, Fannie Mae,
Freddie Mac). • Knowledge of SCRA and RESPA as related to
bankruptcy. • Prior experience working with bankruptcy counsel or
trustees.
