About the RoleHuemen, Harman's design team, is looking for an Experiential Copywriter and Creative Storyteller with a deep understanding of the automotive space. You will join our Brand Communications team focused on all creative efforts for the Harman portfolio of global audio brands, with a specific focus on automotive and connected car technologies. This is a special opportunity to grow your experience as part of a tight-knit team in a young agency as it grows and evolves.You will work with the teams copy lead and a team of designers to develop compelling and culturally relevant creative for multiple cross-platform executions across several types of media: primarily activations and experiences but also web and email, social, video, print, retail, presentations, etc. The work will be a mix of B2B and B2C.What You Will DoWrite, edit and help craft stories across a broad range of media in English for both B2B and B2C.Generate breakthrough, culturally relevant copy to market products to the audience and drive sales for Harman - from connected car technologies to consumer audio and more.Develop storytelling (e.g. experiential user journeys) for Harman's connected car technologies by closely partnering with subject matter experts in marketing and product development.Work with the copy lead, art director and creative team to create the written expression for brand campaigns, marketing, and creative initiatives.Act as a contributor to both external business pitches and awards submissions.Work with designers, user experience architects and marketers to achieve a shared, successful vision (a flexible attitude to collaboration is essential).Deftly and enthusiastically pivot between high-concept projects (e.g. experience journeys for Harman's most important annual experiential event) and more mundane requests (e.g. powerpoints).Interface with Huemen's clients on a daily basis both internal (Harman) and external (new business); across all employee levels.Build client relationships - clearly convey your creative concepts and help get clients excited to work with Huemen.Present work - essentially "selling" your creative output to clients; working to align them to the creative vision; and problem-solving on the fly in cases when clients have concerns/questions/issues with something you created.Write and ideate according to each client's particular set of brand guidelines.Write and draft copy at various levels of complexity, being able to translate and convey concepts to consumers in a way they will understand.Mentor junior creatives and help guide their creative.Proofread and edit work - yours and others' - to ensure error-free copy.What You NeedBachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, or a similar discipline5-7 years of professional copywriting experience with a focus on automotive technologies, ideally from an agency or a permalancer backgroundThe ability to pivot between B2B and B2C work, adapting your voice to different brands and different audiencesDemonstrated ability to translate client message into effective communicationsExcellent listening and verbal communication skills; the ability to speak effectively and confidently with an array of peopleA culturally relevant perspective on tech & innovation - and the ability to translate the latest pop culture, fashion, and tech trends into creative marketingThe ability to tease compelling emotional benefits from technical featuresBe self-motivated, well organized, and up to the challenge of ever-changing timelines, requests, and deliverablesWhat is Nice to HaveProven ability to present and sell your creative work to the creative team and clients alikeAn innate understanding of the social media landscapeA passion for music and the ability to put it into wordsExperience in the consumer electronics industryA background or strong interest in art and designWhat Makes You EligibleBe willing to travel up to 5% domestic and/or internationalBe willing to work in an office environment in Novi, Michigan (Hybrid)Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employmentWhat We Offer Access to employee discounts on world-class Harman and Samsung products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, etc.)Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN UniversityCompetitive wellness benefitsTuition ReimbursementAccess to HARMAN Campus Fitness Center and CafeteriaAn inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development#LI-RV1 #LI-Remote #LI-HybridPDN-96e7e27e-7471-4c35-8787-b36aa288df75
