Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s degree in Physical
Education, Kinesiology, or a related field, Adapted Physical
Education (APE) certification, and 1 years Adaptive PE Teacher
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. This full-time position
seeks a skilled Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to support
elementary students in a vibrant school setting located in
Ypsilanti, MI. The role extends through the full semester,
beginning ASAP and continuing until June 5, 2026. The ideal
candidate will focus on delivering tailored physical education
programs that promote inclusion, physical development, and wellness
for diverse learners. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement
adaptive PE lesson plans suited to elementary school students with
various abilities. - Assess student progress and adapt activities
to meet individual needs. - Collaborate with classroom teachers,
therapists, and support staff to ensure cohesive educational
experiences. - Maintain accurate records of student assessments and
participation. - Foster a positive and supportive learning
environment promoting physical activity and health awareness.
Qualifications and Experience: - Active Michigan teaching
certificate with appropriate endorsements. - Bachelors degree with
certification in Adaptive Physical Education or related field. -
Previous experience working with elementary-aged students in an
adaptive PE setting. - Strong communication and interpersonal
skills. - Commitment to student growth and inclusive practices.
Location: Ypsilanti, MI Schedule: Full time, contract through June
5, 2026 Caseload: Elementary school students This role offers an
