EEO Code: Responsibility: Navigation of WFD Students Purpose: The
Workforce Development Navigator works with the Cherry Street
Mission (CSM) Community Resource Navigators, Workforce Development
Navigators, and community stakeholders. The scope of
responsibilities is to assist recruiting prospective students for
career training programs and other employer-related opportunities,
assess job readiness, connect students to additional supportive
services to meet their individual needs and funding opportunities,
connect to employment opportunities, and follow-up post- to ensure
overall wellbeing and employment status. Equal employment

Collaborate with Workforce Development team and volunteers to carry
out Cherry Street Mission workforce development strategies that
increase student access to career and post-secondary education
opportunities Assist in being the liaison between Cherry Street
Mission’s Workforce Development program and pertinent community
collaborators Assist in securing funding opportunities for
prospective students Assist in coordination of the day-to-day
operations of the program such as recruiting efforts, review of
applications, follow-up inquiries, entries into software
programming for student/ graduate tracking, and other duties
assigned by leadership Assist in follow-up regarding community
outreach initiatives, recruitment, and selection of candidates
Assist in the coordination of special events such as graduations,
job fairs, and alumni events Ensure guest safety and collaborate
with coworkers to maintain an environment that is positive,
respectful, clean and redemptive Assist in recruiting prospective
students, whether residential or community-based guests as well as
at venues in the community Ensure sustainability for program
graduates through aftercare program Assist in the set-up and
performing functions of workforce development job fairs for the
purpose of connecting students with employers Must have a working
knowledge of database software to input data and pull reports for
informed decision-making. Participate in assessing, evaluating,
tracking and decision making on the enrollment process and
day-to-day progress Responsible for maintaining professional,
moral, and ethical boundaries (e.g., confidentiality, respect of
differences, concise and honest documentation, etc.) Responsible
for upholding all standard operating procedures (SOP’s); ability to
read, understand, and adhere to all written policies and procedures
Responsible for incident reporting and responding to emergencies
accordingly Identify facility issues and produce work orders as
necessary Provides Christ-centered guidance and models a life of
wholeness by engaging with faith community, maintaining an active
worship and prayer life, and leading with Christ-like behavior and

Experience Experience working with vulnerable populations
Certification in CSM’s Office Assistant or Intro to AI class
preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Exhibits flexibility,
open-mindedness, and positive adaption to change Ability to work
with people from diverse backgrounds (socio-economic, cultural,
etc.) Knowledgeable of community resources and displays ability to
collaborate well with external agencies and partners Apply problem
solving skills that lead to appropriate outcomes (e.g., reduction
of barriers to access care and coordination of services) Model and
teach healthy coping skills and other growth opportunities
Respect’s individuals’ rights with the ability to encourage and
