NGK Automotive Ceramics USA, Inc. is a subsidiary of the leading

I. Basic Functions
The Test Engineer of Product Development (PD) is an engineer that
will perform NGK future engineering programs, testing and
simulations for automobile industries including but not limited to,
regulator relations, customer relations, product/testing/simulation
(technology), engineering/development and future strategic
Performs engineering activities within the PD organization and
implements and maintains engineering objectives and initiatives.
Develops test procedures, coordinate, administer, and monitor tests
of products. Discovers problems and debugs programs so that
equipment performs to design specifications. Interacts with other
engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and
interpret tests for products, systems, components, or
modifications. Identifies functional problems and suggests
resolutions. Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress
reports. Manages all meetings. Reports to the Supervisor of PD
regarding technical and commercial aspects of the business.
Ii. Essential Functions
Monitor key market and customers' future technical requirement and
suitable NGK's technology option.
Designs and interact with engineering and technical personnel in
fabrication of testing and test-control devices and equipment.
Coordinates engineering activities concerned with the development,
procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments,
equipment, and control devices required to test, telemeter, record,
and reduce test data.
Determines conditions, under which tests are to be conducted, and
sequences and phases of test operations.
Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports
for use by engineering and management personnel.
Prepares proposals for testing programs, outlines specific testing
conditions, and develops operating procedures.
Coordinates and implements actual testing and analyzes validity of
results and prepares detailed technical reports of findings and
makes recommendations to customer to correct problems and achieve
the best solution.
Provides input and development direction on essential testing needs
within the NAU test facilities and external testing facilities for
NA market/customer needs.
Prepares and controls assigned budget, forecasts operating costs
and directs preparation of budget requests.
Develop business relations with key customers and build a network
of business partners in N.A. -- Coaters; canners, universities,
Ensures compliance of company policies, procedures, and objectives
regarding processes, initiatives, and projects.
Participate actively at conferences as a speaker/presenter or
Conduct and support safety activities such as risk assessment,
adopt proper countermeasure, procure PPE and hazard control

Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in engineering or
Experience: 0-4 years of experience in testing of automotive
emission control components.
Excellent project management and time management skills.
Ability to prepare testing proposals, analyses of results, and
recommendations for changes.
Ability to report prototype or product flaws diplomatically and
suggest necessary changes in a positive manner.
Creative mind to troubleshoot, find, and resolve problems.
Identify and avoid potential problems using quantitative
Work Environment : Office and testing environment. Overtime may be
required to meet program/project deadlines. Physically able to
participate in presentations, and meetings. Domestic and
International travel is required.
