Job Details Responsibilities Development of design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, etc. Utilize AutoCAD and/or Revit for development of project plans for certain project types that may include single line diagrams, schematics, P&ID’s, etc. Prepare and revise documentation in various project phases including site plans, diagrams, and details. Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent. Provide review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to RFIs, prepares site observation reports, and performs other contract administration tasks. Development of job specific discipline specifications. Evaluation and selection of electrical systems and materials. Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants. Participate in value engineering and basic cost estimating. Apply technical expertise to meet project requirements within project timeframes and budget. Foster existing client relationships and proactively pursues opportunities for new business. Capabilities Thorough understanding of electrical and instrumentation engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others. Experience in the construction industry and/or in-depth knowledge of construction processes. Ability to manage individual projects and also be part of a project team with ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting. Knowledge of applicable codes and standards. Solid understanding and knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting systems, and instrumentation and controls. Strong client communication and interpersonal skills. Recognizes when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions. Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule. Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and/or Revit or other applicable software. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with 4 years of experience. Ohio Professional Engineer’s license REQUIRED. Interested in hearing more?
