Job Description Job Description Description In this role you will act as one of the lead innovation engineers at the plant The plant has a central plantwide Innovation team, responsible for delivering the annual corporate innovation objectives. - Support for the plants innovation team would include things like • Leading and/or supporting the weekly meetings • Tracking and reporting out our progress on objectives • Helping engineers around the plant connect with corporate innovation subject matter experts, and support some project planning efforts • Helping engineers around the plant correctly add and update projects in our web based innovation project tracking software • Attending Industry benchmarking events, training sessions, and workshops that come up throughout the year. Example: team wentt to the Automate Show together. • Creating / updating plans and documents to help our plant achieve some of the new objectives – action plans, training plans, versatility sheets, etc. • Help advertise the great stuff going on to internal and external stakeholders – newsletters, social media posts, plant floor innovation kiosk (?), etc. Skills & Qualifications Working cross funcionally with multiple teams (Plant Engineering, Launch Engineering, Corporate innovation, Innovation Pillars) Creating or updating engineering documentation in support of new objectives. Experience in a manufacturing facility. Preferably a powertrain machining or assembly environment. Experience surveying existing workstations in the plant for adoption readiness Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling Heights, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
