SUMMARY:The Shows & Events Manager position is responsible for creation and management of meaningful and impactful experiences for internal and external audiences that increase brand awareness, cultivate business relationships, generate leads, and promote the culture of the business.The ideal candidate will be charismatic, innovative and passionate about delivering creative and well-organized physical and virtual events that help drive strong customer relationships.Key events will include:

  • Trade shows

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Understand the Brand and Strategy
    • Be familiar with the brand strategies and what differentiates us in the market.
    • Understand the target audience for each brand and the call to action needed.Set the shows and event strategy
      • Define, develop and execute a measurable shows and event strategy for both in-person and virtual events.
      • Collaborate with leadership, sales, and beyond to deliver memorable experiences to tell the company story, amplify our messaging, and showcase our products.Deliver each event and activity efficiently and effectively and drive results-based innovation
        • Navigate and own all end-to-end operations for events & activations working closely with internal cross-functional teams.
        • Own budgets and timelines (including event logistics, financial management, fabrication / graphic / production timelines, vendor timelines, creative deliverables).
        • Maintain stock of promotional items and merchandise in support of internal and external events, lead generation, sales activity, and customer experience activities.
        • Own company store, working closely with vendor and segment marketing managers to understand needs and ensure inventory/billing is on track.Manage relationships, spend and activity
          • Manage relationships (internal and external) as the primary point of contact for national and local events.
          • Manage vendor activity and relationships (ensuring effective communications, quotes, selection, setup, POs / deposits, addressing minor issues, etc.).
          • Provide onsite support for events, as needed.
          • Ensure closing / reconciliation process is completed.
          • Manage lead generation related to events.
          • Manage asset capture during events and work with Social Media Manager to publish on appropriate social media channels to help promote events.
          • See beyond a given task and advise on cause and effect of decisions and options depending on situation
          • Present milestones and updates for core execution team and executive updates on a regular basis.
          • Work with revenue generation and analytics team to summarize results, key learnings and business impact(s) of events and activations
          • Engage customers and event stakeholders and provide primary on-site support
            QUALIFICATIONS
            • 5+ years as an events professional who is known for delivering exceptional events that deliver results (Bachelors degree preferred)
            • Highly motivated, extremely organized individual with experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, across multiple brands
            • Strong and consistent attention to detail
            • Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task
            • Innovative team player
            • Skilled at finding ways to connect the show/event with other marketing channels to drive measurable results
            • A proven track record of defining and delivering successful events, end-to-end
            • Sets/understands major project milestones and ensures they are achieved on time and on budget before, during, and after the event.
            • Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others.
