You will engage with strategic Automotive & Tire customers to form strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels and be a customer advocate both external and internal. Developing a deep understanding the customers' key goals and how Emerson can provide solutions to help meet them AS AN AUTOMOTIVE/ TIRE, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, YOU WILL:

  • Carry out Automotive & Tire Business Development /Sales growth plan for Fluid & Motion Control Products in the Machine Automation, Auto & Tire Segment
  • Responsible to manage & grow large OEM & Tier 1 relationships and opportunities: currently selling to Ford, GM & Stellantis with Corporate & Plant & relationships a huge plus & preferred
  • Engage with strategic targets that promote growth with key USER accounts
  • Develop relationships at all levels within target Automotive & Tire accounts
  • Identify key stakeholders within the target accounts organization, who will have an influence on a developing opportunity
  • Drive Specification, Machine Automation lead generation, and overall Business Development execution to increase strategic Sales penetration for the Automotive & Tire Markets
  • Train and be the segment expert on Emerson technologies being sold in applications within the Automotive & Tire Markets
  • Document via CRM or Emerson account management documentation, account details, personnel and organization makeup within target accounts
  • Primary contact for Regional Sales along with collaboration regionally on strategies, global OEM engagement, and programs to support near-term/mid-term growth for the Automotive & Tire markets
  • Provide a high-level overview of activities internally to the management team, being an advocate for target customer to gain internal support and required resources.
  • Provide a monthly overview of the opportunity funnel and progress on key opportunities
  • Participate in Segment planning and forecasting efforts
  • Coordinate with local, regional, and global contacts on opportunities, specification influence, and market initiatives
  • Provide feedback on emerging trends, competitor strategy, and new product development needs to segment team WHO YOU ARE: You are an action-oriented sales professional who ensures accountability, who collaborates and builds networks within a growing organization. You instill trust in the customers you serve and develop Win-Win situations for your customers and Emerson from having a strategic mindset. You show resourcefulness and are resilient at balancing stakeholders goals. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sales, or Marketing preferred
  • 5+ years experience in Industrial Business Development/Sales preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, strong initiative, and good judgment and decision-making capabilities PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Proven success driving incremental business at Ford, General Motors & Stellantis and Tier 1 suppliers
  • Detail oriented, ability to work well under pressure
  • Solid skills to build and present interactive, relevant and engaging presentation materials regarding the subject matter to move an opportunity forward
