Novi, Michigan
Kelly Services is actively recruiting for a Vice-President of
Commercialization for a pre-revenue biotech business.
The office is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, however the ideal
candidate can work remote but needs to travel 1-2 times per month
to the office.
The Vice-President of Commercializationwill bea key member of the
leadership team and beresponsible for developing the go-to-market
strategy andensuring successfulcommercialization of the
ground-breaking technology. The successfulcandidate will help
optimize value for customers and shareholders by prioritizing
marketopportunities, building strong brand awareness, and
developing competitive pricing models.
The ideal candidate would have the following:
- Taken anovel life sciencetechnology from its early development
stage to revenue generation.
- Experience with B2B agreements and ability to
buildrelationships within reagent manufacturing, life science,
pharmaceutical, etc.
- Financial acumen andhow to communicate product value and price
productcorrectly.
- Ability to speak science/technology to stakeholders, customers,
internal team members, etc.
Job Duties will include:
- Develop, lead, communicate and execute the commercial strategy
and align resources toensure successful launch of our first
products into U.S. and global markets.
- Identify and prioritize new collaboration opportunities with
companies, organizations,and individuals in the life sciences
industry to expand the reach of the technology.This will include
collaboration with reagent manufacturers, academics and research
labs,or CROs.
- Establish and leverage partnerships to expand company reach,
tap into new customersegments, accelerate growth, and collect
pertinent primary and secondary marketintelligence and customer
insights.
- Provide commercial analysis and direction for the development
and management of theproduct pipeline and ensure that plans for
current and future products are fully alignedwith the needs of the
U.S. and global markets.
- Lead all commercial launch preparation activities including
brand strategy, productpositioning, and messaging, pricing and
market access strategy, and sales forcestrategy.
- Develop licensing and other pricing models.
- Perform global pricing analyses to plan and track global
pricing dynamics (e.g.,pricefloor recommendations, corridor
analyses).
- Work with the executive team in fundraising, interface with
investors and the media, andmaintain strong relations with key
opinion leaders and leaders of important
policyinitiatives.
- Develop and lead a best-in-class, high-performance Sales and
Marketing team andrelated support functions.
- Regularly interact with the boards and advisors regarding a
wide array of topics relatedto current and future commercial
business.
- Provide effective leadership to the commercial organization to
ensure the developmentof the business and its people.
Requirements for this position include:
- Minimum of Bachelor'sdegree required. Higher level degree
preferred.
- 15+ years of relevant life science / reagent executive
(C-level)leadership preferred with a successful commercial launch
in US and abroad.
- Experience with Life Sciences Product Development includingnew
product planning, marketing,market analysis, sales leadership,
etc.
- Established track record in developing pricing and licensing
strategy and dealmaking.
- Experience with a clear record of results and ultimate
transactional responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to set and support execution of commercial
strategy includinggo-to-market modeling and supporting launch of a
new product or technology.
- Fund-raising expertise (front line) or in conjugation with
CEO/CFO.
- Industry experience in BD&L and/or project
management.
- Excellent industry and investor network.
- Demonstrated ability to network and influence external
stakeholders towards sharedgoals and achieving results.
- Outstanding track record of building successful teams and
processes, developingemployees, and building the relationships
essential to influencing decision-making at alllevels.
- A strategic/analytical and results-driven thinker with the
ability to analyze and synthesizelarge amounts of data to identify
and present meaningful observations andrecommendations.
- Extensive experience with developing and executing marketing
strategies and tactics,field leadership, market research and
analysis and business forecasting.
- Strong executive presence, focus and drive to succeed -
