Role Summary Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional
authority on behalf of the purchasing organization. Oversees
control, integration, and completion of activities related to all
purchasing activities for multiple programs. -Monitors tasks and
recommends improvements to processes and procedures. -Promotes
coordination and communication on behalf of the purchasing team.
Completes the following duties and responsibilities under the
guidance and direction of purchasing management. Key
Responsibilities --- - - -Ensures proper coordination and
communication of the purchasing team on all projects.--- - -
-Consults and collaborates with personnel in various activities
relative to project requirements. Conducts effective communications
within the project team with guidance from purchasing management.
---- - - -Manage all aspects of program sourcing and maintain all
appropriate documentation--- - - -Monitors purchasing department
adherence to department systems, processes, and work
instructions.--- - - -Monitors and analyzes established project
plans, milestones and confirms the purchasing team is on track to
meeting commitments.--- - - -Identifies and communicates
impediments to the successful completion of project milestones as
established in the plan to appropriate personnel.--- - - -Utilizes
and follows the product delivery process to coordinate all
activities concerned with the completion of the project up to and
including the launch of the assigned project. ---- - - -Attends
meetings (e.g. phase and gate reviews, PDTs, change management
meetings, monthly program reviews, launch readiness reviews, etc.)
with internal and external customers. Represents the purchasing
team and reviews documentation to provide guidance as appropriate.
---- - - -Conveys customer requirements and issues to the team and
ensures appropriate resolution is provided to the customer within
established timeframes.--- - - -Supports Internal / External Audit
efforts regarding ISO 9001:2015, and IATF 16949 Certifications.---
- - -Supports the requirements as detailed in Standard Operating
Procedure 8000 (Quality Management System).--- - - -Ensure
employees work in the manner consistent with the organizations
established objectives and targets utilizing protective equipment,
devices, measures, and procedures as promulgated by state and
federal regulations. Establish clear goals for workplace health and
safety. Complete safety talks, safety meetings, and required
training, as defined. - Key Qualifications/Requirements
EducationBachelor's Degree (or bachelor's equivalency) in Supply
Chain Management, Project Management, Business Administration,
Engineering or related field, or combination of equivalent
education and work experience. - Experience/Special
Knowledge/SkillsTwo (2) years preferred diversified program
management experience or equivalent as deemed by Purchasing
Management.Strong communication skills: verbal, written, and
technical presentations.Ability to plan and independently
prioritize work.Demonstrated successful performance with
independent problem solving and quantitative analysis skills,
-Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully
complete multiple tasks within established and changing
deadlines.Must be able to apply academic principles and utilize
math-based tools. -Demonstrated successful performance with word
processing, presentation, database applications and spreadsheet
software to track data and perform calculations. Additional
Information Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentNormal amount of
sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office
environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer,
