RN Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED) - FT/MN (7pm-7am) - Ascension Providence Park Hospital - Novi, MI

Unit Description: The Emergency Center is a Level 2 Trauma Center. Currently 50,000 visits annually. There is a team centered approach to patient care. We are a Comprehensive Stroke center verified by the Joint Commission as well as a STEMI center. We assess, manage, and refer patients to our in-house neuroendovascular interventionalists and accept stroke transfers from other Ascension Emergency Centers. We take pride in supporting and providing safe nursing to patient staff ratios. We are a full spectrum community centered emergency service line. The department consists of 49 private rooms that are fully equipped with cardiac monitoring system and everything needed to perform emergency procedures.

What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

+ Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

+ Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

+ Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

+ Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.

+ Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

+ Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
