Description:A typical day will start with going to their assigned bench/test station (total of 12 benches in this lab - this position will work on 2 of them) and prepare for the days tests. They will then pull up the work schedule for the day that is assigned for their specific testing area. This position is going to be in the Immunity Chamber section of the lab. There are two total chambers that are used to set up the tests, run the tests, and then analyze and record the data in real time. Once the schedule has been determined, the candidate will then pull the specific customer specification and test plan. These are SOPs that have already been created from previous tests - most are always changing to better the process. Once the person gets more comfortable in the role, then they have the autonomy to help change these as well. Once the specs are pulled, then they will be working with a Lead Tech at first to set up the chamber for tests. The Lead Tech will spend less and less time with this person as they get up to speed. The tests that are primarily being ran are Radio Frequency (RF) tests in these chambers on specific automotive parts. Any type of automotive electrical component gets tested here. Some of their main customers are TRW, Continental, Lear, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, North American Lighting, AutoLiv, etc.During and after the test, the data is going to be collected and needs to be analyzed. That is the primary function of this role. This information will be reported in specific company format. Once this report is written and completed, this person will present the data to the Engineer. The two main instruments that are gathering the information from the testing chamber are a Digital Phosphor and Oscilloscope (aka O-Scope).Skills:EMC, Technician, Oscilloscope, DMM, Schematic, Test Plan, Laboratory, ElectricalAdditional Skills & Qualifications:MUST HAVES: Having 1 year+ of experience using testing equipment (Multimeter, DMM, Oscilloscope, Digital Phosphor) in any setting.
