About Taylor HospitalA Magnet-designated hospital that is a

offers specialty services that include 24-hour emergency care,
wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a
pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, an inpatient
rehabilitation facility and full-service radiology, including
advanced CT with cardiac scoring, fixed MRI including pacemaker,
cinema vision and ultrasound (MSK and elastography).About The
UnitICU takes all high acuity patients from medical, surgical, and
cardiac. We provide specialized care to our patients providing CRRT
and Hypothermia with a nursing ratio of 1:1-1:2 based on acuity.

families, providing holistic family centered care.Scope of workThe
Clinical Nurse Manager is an experienced leader responsible for
managing assigned areas and services and supervising assigned
patient care staff to promote the creation of a center of
excellence for staff recruitment and retention and clinical and
business outcomes. The Nurse Manager is responsible to ensure safe
and effective delivery of patient care and clinical outcomes,
compliance with regulatory, administrative, and clinical standards,
and policies and procedures. The Nurse Manager serves as a chief
retention and safety officer. He/she ensures that safety and
quality standards are upheld by effective use of data and
technology to make decisions and proactively mitigates unnecessary
risks for his/her area of responsibility. The Nurse Manager creates
and ensures a desirable, safe work environment that enables the
organization to meet or exceed its mission and goals. He/she models
the way to foster communication and collaboration with physicians,
staff, patients, and other departments. Role specific competencies,
responsibilities, roles, and functions are based on the
Professional Practice Model. This position reports to the Director
of Nursing or above.Areas Of ResponsibilityUnder general direction,
maintains 24-hour responsibility and accountability for providing
leadership and management of a designated patient care unit which
promotes quality nursing care, cost effective use of resources and
professional growth for nursing staff. Promotes a Patient Family
Centered Care Culture.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing Required.
- Master's degree in nursing Preferred.
- Completion of a Nurse Executive Council approved leadership
development educational program within 1 year of position
entry.
- 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required.
- 1 year of relevant formal nursing leadership experience for
external applicants Required.
- 2 years of relevant demonstrated informal leadership experience
required for internal applicants, may include but are not limited
to: Charge Lead Nurse, Charge Nurse responsibilities, leadership on
behalf of unit/site/system at Shared Governance Council
Required.
