Job Description:
Position Description Henry Ford Providence Hospitals (Novi and
Southfield campuses) are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant
for a locum, hospital-based role in the General Surgery Department
, focused heavily on robotic OR assistance. The provider will be
assisting a large surgical team in a Level II Trauma Center
equipped with 3 DaVinci robots and over 20 ORs . Start Date: ASAP
End Date: December 31, 2025 (with PRN extension option) Schedule:
Monday to Friday, approx. 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (flexible) Hours:
40 hours/week Call: None Location: Novi & Southfield, MI Key
Responsibilities: First-assist at bedside during robotic procedures
(GYN, urology, general surgery, bariatrics) Port placement and port
site closures Support in non-robotic OR cases as needed Occasional
assistance with discharges and documentation Collaborate with
surgeons, residents, scrub techs, and nurses Robotic Case
Breakdown: General Surgery (incl. bariatrics): 50–55% GYN Surgery:
36% Urology: 6–8% Colorectal: 3–6%
