Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at a
K-12 day center serving students with severe cognitive impairment
(SCI) in Westland, MI. This contract position runs through the
current school year and requires onsite presence. The role focuses
on supporting a diverse student population using Augmentative and
Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT)
devices, providing specialized therapy to meet individual needs.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct speech and language evaluations and
develop individualized treatment plans for K-12 students with SCI.
Implement therapy sessions using AAC and AT devices to enhance
communication abilities. Monitor student progress and maintain
comprehensive documentation. Collaborate with educators, families,
and interdisciplinary teams to support student development. Adhere
to Michigans caseload guidelines, with a maximum of 60 students
(final caseload size to be determined during the interview
process). Qualifications: Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathology
license. Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred.
Experience working in school settings, specifically with K-12
populations. Skilled in using AAC and AT devices. Ability to work
full-time onsite; candidates with SLP-CF (Clinical Fellowship) or
SLPA credentials will not be considered. Location:Westland,
Michigan, serving a K-12 student population with severe cognitive
