Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Battle Creek, MI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,858 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Battle Creek, Michigan, 49017! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year required, 2 years preferred License: Valid state RN license required Certifications: BLS (AHA) preferred, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience required - Ability to work a variety of staff, including RNs, LPNs, and Techs - Willingness to float to other Med/Surg units as needed - Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only) Description: Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are encouraged to apply. Candidates should be available for the first two weeks of the assignment for orientation. 36 or 48 hour work weeks are available. Every other weekend shift is required. Duties will include working with a mix of medical and surgical patients. Specialties may include orthopedic/neurovascular, cardiovascular/pulmonary, and surgical patients. Staffing ratios are 1:5-6 for nights, but may flex to 7-8 patients with support from LPNs in these cases. There may be occasional floating to other units based on need. Previous charge experience is preferred. Charting system experience with Epic is preferred. Critical skills include IV protocols, colostomy management, feeding tube care, and hemodialysis management. Additional required skills encompass wound care, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy care.
