Executive/Senior-Level Officials and Managers Summary: This is a
clinical position which includes the administration and
interpretation of psychological tests, provision of
therapy/counseling to consumers, crisis intervention, case
coordination and the development and monitoring of behavior
management treatment plans. A significant amount of the work is
performed in the community, including consumer's homes and other
sites where consumers receive services. Perform related duties as
assigned by supervisor Maintain compliance with all company
policies and procedures and applicable rules and regulations of
grantors. Models the Pillars and guiding principles of NSO at all
times. Responsibilities: Primary Job Role This is a clinical
position which includes the administration and interpretation of
psychological tests, provision of therapy/counseling to consumers,
crisis intervention, case coordination and the development and
monitoring of behavior management treatment plans. A significant
amount of the work is performed in the community, including
consumer's homes and other sites where consumers receive services.
Essential Job Duties AESSMENT/MPLEMENTATION/MONITORING: Includes
assessment of consumers in various settings to determine consumer's
functioning level, maladaptive behaviors, development of behavior
management treatment plans, implementation of the plan, attendance
at BTC meeting, development of treatment plans, implementing
treatment plans to include training of family/ care provider and/
or agency personnel in the implementation of the plan, monitoring
effectiveness of plan, and redevelopment of treatment goals and
objectives. Assess behaviors Writes behavioral plan Obtains
approval of plan through BTC. Delivers plan to family Follows-up
with revisions or updates Therapy/Counseling Includes regular
scheduled individual, group and family activities of a
psychotherapeutic or behavior management nature with the goal of
maximizing consumer's level of functioning while utilizing the
least restrictive setting. Establishes and maintains effective
relationships with consumer, family, other diverse providers and
other providers to ensure the effective delivery of services to the
consumer. Provides case coordination of assigned cases.
Testing/Interpretation: Includes the testing of consumers in
intelligence, functioning level, adative/maladaptive behaviors,
interpretation of testing results, observation of consumers
strengths and needs, documentation of testing results and
participation of Informed Consent Board hearing. Administers scores
and interprets psychological tests to consumers. Interperts test
scores and interprets psychological tests to consumers. Interperts
test scores to consumers and family in a mannner with maximizes
their understanding. Prepares clearly written psychological
evaluation reports in a format and timeframe consistent with agency
policy. Consults with other staff regarding test results to
facilitate their understanding of consumer functioning and
psychological dimension of behavior. Assist in the determination of
eligibility for DD services and recommendations for the least
restrictive living arrangement through interpretation of test
results and making professional diagnostic formulations of
developmental disabilities. Documentation: Includes complete,
accurate and timely completion of clinical and statistical records
to record staff activities. Documents every consumer and collateral
contact in compliance with agency policy when completing progress
notes. Completes various administrative forms to assure accurate
data collection for billing, fee-setting, the management
information system and other purposes in accordance with agency
procedures. Completes other reports as required. Performs other
duties as required by supervisor and relevant to the position.
Candidate Requirements: Education : MA/MS in Psychology or Phd/PsyD
Psychology Required Licensure : LP Minimum Required Experience :
Experience in administering and interpreting psychological testing,
experience with developing and maintaining behavior management
plans. Valid Michigan driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
1 Year Clinical Experience with the Developmentally Disabled
