We work hard, but value a healthy work-life balance.**Job Description**As a Motorsport Software Engineer within the Bosch Motorsport team, you will be responsible for the following:+ Software development and application for assigned projects as a part of a global team+ Interface with software development team in Germany to ensure worldwide alignment of software application and development topics+ Creation and monitoring of software development timelines to ensure on-time delivery+ Production tester software development and maintenance to ensure robust test and manufacturing capability+ Adherence to applicable software and product development processes to ensure expected high product quality+ Ability to troubleshoot and resolve both component and system issues related to software implementation of Motorsport products in end use applications+ Integration of continuous improvement practices into daily work to improve performance, timing, cost, and quality+ Opportunity to expand role in additional product areas outside of software development, such as project management+ Opportunity to provide application support of Motorsport products on-site at customer, track, other development sites+ Domestic and international travel up to 20% per year (20-30 days/year), including 2-4 weeks in Germany for integration into global software team**Qualifications**Basic Qualifications:+ BS in Engineering or Computer Science+ 1+ years of programming experiencePreferred Qualifications:+ BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science+ 1+ years software development and engineering experience in automotive or embedded systems environment+ 1+ years of hands-on Motorsport experience (i.e. industry, FSAE)+ Experience with modeling and simulation (i.e. Matlab/Simulink)+ Experience with scripting (i.e. Python)+ Experience with real-time operating systems (i.e. VXWorks)+ Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (i.e. CAN, Ethernet)+ Experience with test tools (i.e. Vector tools, dSPACE products, oscilloscopes)+ Experience with network and Cloud technologies+ Ability to comprehend electrical schematics to debug software and electrical issues+ Alignment to team culture of passion and performance, entrepreneurialism and innovation, communication, and balance+ Experience in analytical thinking and creative problem solving+ Experience in being responsible for own work products and working independently+ Passion for learning new skills and applying to Motorsport projects with aggressive timing plans+ German language skillsIdeal Candidate Characteristics:+ Strong sense of personal accountability with demonstrable comfort in an entrepreneurial environment+ Collaborative nature and team player oriented mindset, while also being able to work independently+ Self-disciplined, attentive to deadlines, and effective at time management+ Ability to articulate ideas and make contributions both verbally and in written form+ Ability to problem-solve to develop solutions on own, breaking down complex problems into distinct parts in order to managing uncertainty and to anticipate interdependencies+ Eagerness to learn and grow personally and professionally+ Objective when presenting ideas, open to change and guided in decision-making+ Self-motivated to continuously improve performance; outcomes-focused and driven to achieve challenging goals
