In this context, Redpoint Global is transitioning the rgOne Omnichannel Customer Experience Platform to a Platform as a Service (PaaS) delivery model. We expect that this transition will provide our customers the very best user experience by giving them full access to all of the amazing platform capabilities with none of the overhead and associated resource requirements. In this transition, we have landed on a PaaS deployment model in order to enable our largest enterprise clients to maintain their required level of security control over their data, while Redpoint operations will manage the technology stack. This provides our largest customers the SaaS experience with an on-Prem level of control over their data. Responsibilities Redpoint was unable to find COTS that could meet the rigorous test matrix requirements our software products demand, so we developed our very own Automated Testing Software framework. As we look to expand the use of this testing framework into Redpoint various products, we are looking for an accomplished and motivated Java developer who is passionate about test automation. The Software developer for test automation responsibilities will include Work with product Software Architects to understand requirements and translate those requirements into a design Develop, document, execute, and maintain automated testing tools to improve the quality of the Redpoint rgOne product family Collaborate with QA teams to provide guidance on utilizing the software to execute tests Lobby product engineering teams to ensure product testability Push for new ideas and innovations while maintaining engineering discipline Respond to escalated support inquiries and help diagnose field issues Communicate well with a team of software professionals and management Learn quickly with modest supervision Requirements Mandatory Skills Strong written and verbal English communication Proven aptitude for learning new technologies Experience across the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, documentation, testing, and deployment Strong grasp of testing principles like independent validation, coverage, and product-specific testability problems Desirable Skills Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google, etc.,) Experience with Git, JIRA, and Maven Experience working with build automation Familiarity with common configuration and release management practices Experience in designing and building automated functional and integration tests Experience with web application testing tools Personality You are very enthusiastic, of hacker mentality and love to create software You are versatile and adaptable Your work ethic makes honeybees and beavers look lazy You have a mindset for innovation and problem-solving Education/Experience BS or Advanced AS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline 5+ years experience developing software in Java.
