Job description and Responsibilities:
Senior Software VnV Test Engineer is responsible for code verification & validation tests for newly developed control systems and for new application specific configurations (existing firmware with new parameter set) in order to be able to release properly functional control systems.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, control and monitor of the tasks of V&V team and resolve any impediments
  
• Responsible for proper execution of System, Component and Software level tests and report results to Program Manager
  
• Create test specifications for software, component, and system levels
  
• Analyze and review hardware and software requirements
  
• Define test cases and implement HIL/SIL/MIL test procedures and test automation scripts in terms of efficiency, re-usability and final product quality
  
• Setting up the HIL/SIL/MIL system and perform tests (i.e. specify, compose and execute the necessary test sequences, test measurements and test experiments);
  
• Report test results and identified bugs
  
• Support and align cross-functional teams in development and system engineering, root cause analysis
  Requirements:
  
  • BS or higher degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
    
  • 5+ years of SW testing or test automation experience in automotive industry
    
  • 2 years of experience in HIL system test activities (test scripting, plant model development and testing)
    
  • 2 years of experience in Simulink Test and VectorCast environment.
    
  • Knowledge of ASPICE and ISO 26262 Standards
    
  • Ability to successfully lead V&V team with cross-functional team members across all Dana locations.
    
  • Knowledge of electric machines, power electronics and understanding of EV powertrain control strategies
    
  • Knowledge of HIL testing methodologies, Python scripting and tools (i.e. AutomationDesk, ControlDesk)
    
  • Knowledge of model-based software (i.e. Matlab / Simulink / Simulink Test / Simscape)
    
  • Familiarity of automotive communication bus systems and protocols (i.e. CAN, UDS)
    
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum Framework and Issue Management Tools (i.e. Jira) is a plus
    
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
    
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a high degree of intellectual horsepower
