Oversee and to direct the multiple application development functions and deployments of complex multi-platform business systems ensuring the continuity, quality and on-time delivery. This role will oversee the planning, designing, developing, testing and deploying of large and complex application software, voice and data network and hardware systems in support of business objectives. This is both a management and in some cases hands-on technical position in the BrassCraft environment. A large responsibility will be integrating IS software configuration and development with business functions to fully optimize processes within the company.Responsible for overall planning, execution and success of all complex business application projects with a high degree of technical and business competence. Successfully run application development, database development, web development, infrastructure deployment and project management across multiple functional business areas, software platforms and geographies. Lead and direct Application Management staff including mentoring and development, setting priorities, coordinating activities, goal setting and skill development along with hiring and assigning appropriate permanent and/or contract staff, as resources to projects adhering to internal processes and procedures aligning with business needs. Ensure on call 24/7, coverage for all critical business application and infrastructure support services.The Director is a member of the senior IS leadership team and reports directly to the Vice President of Information Services.PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leading the ERP system functions including upgrade cycles and Total Cost of Ownership concept
  • Implementation and delivery of full Software, Network and Hardware Life Cycle processes
  • Broad understanding of IT management concepts, hardware and software platforms, methods and disciplines including compliance, disaster recovery and security
  • Actively participates in IT leadership team. Collaboratively develops IT strategic directions and complete designated top management directives
  • Experience with budget development, software contracts and negotiations
  • Primary liaison and point of contact with all business units using business application software systems
  • Project management with business process improvement and software configuration as required
  • Responsible for new enhancement planning, design and development for all operations and middleware systems. Including project budgets, enhancement specifications, software development, and project communications
  • Leads application managers, business analysts and direct technical reports within assigned area, communicating with internal and external clients, ensuring that work demand and supply is flowing adequately with appropriate accountability
  • Establishes IS policies, standards, practices and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources
  • Collaborates with colleagues to ensure best solutions and services are provided within the department
  • Provides training, coaching, mentoring and disciplinary actions as required for personnel within assignment area. Drives all tasks related to recruiting and retaining skilled development personnel
  • Actively promotes continual improvement processes and procedures within assigned areas.

    • Bachelor of Science Degree and 10 plus years related managerial and technical experience
