Serving three primary markets - passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment - Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.Job PurposeThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading Dana's SW development process development, from high-level requirements through manufacturing. Serve as champion of Agile principles and practices, leads high performing delivery, safeguards, and motivates the team and removes roadblocks.Job Duties and Responsibilities* Responsible defining and governing the embedded software development process within Dana's overall system engineering process* Ensure achievement of industry standards within development process (ASPICE, CMMi, Functional Safety, Cyber Security)* Define Key Performance Indicators for project management team* Develop / evolve Dana's software factory tool-chain and integration with enterprise information management tools* Work with the Product Owners and development team to develop a product roadmap* Lead the efforts to communize software component definition and reuse across projects* As part of the internal assessment team, lead project reviews and assessments within the scope of Dana's development proecess* Mentor, coach, trainer, change manager and technical advisor to project teams* Participate in the creation of embedded software requirements and design documentation for automotive componentsEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS* Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, MS degree is preferred* Min. 8 years of embedded SW and controls development experience, C, C++ and Simulink* Min 5 years of automotive SW development experience applying Agile process* Embedded software experience in the automotive domain, electrification applications preferred.SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES* Broad skills and expertise including (not limited to): ASPICE;AUTOSAR, model-based systems engineering; ISO26262; Product Security; DevOps pipeline and toolchain; Standard solution tools (e.g. requirements management, workflow management, static analysis, etc.* Strong interpersonal skills with abilities to build relationships across and outside the organization.* Strong communication and presentation skills* Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skill* A self-motivated individual who takes the initiative in a constantly changing working environment* ScrumMaster role experience, Certification a Plus* Knowledgeable in basic electronics hardware and vehicle systems, a plus.* Multicore software development or system design experience in automotive, a plus.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.Unsolicited Resumes from Third-Party RecruitersPlease note that as per Dana policy, we do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters unless such recruiters were engaged to provide candidates for a specified opening.
