Job Description:
Position: Shipping & Receiving Leader Location: Warren, MI Pay:
$18.50/hour Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Overtime as
needed based on production demands) Overview: Nesco Resource is
currently seeking a reliable Shipping & Receiving Team Lead for our
client in Warren, MI. This role will oversee daily
shipping/receiving operations, lead team members, and ensure
compliance with company procedures and customer requirements. The
ideal candidate will have strong leadership, organization, and
communication skills, as well as hands-on experience in logistics
or warehousing. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate daily
tasks for shipping/receiving personnel Ensure timely and accurate
transmittal of ASN (Advanced Shipping Notices) Maintain 100%
on-time delivery by working closely with Customer Service and
Quality teams Perform and document dock audits, shipment
verifications, and container usage logs Monitor and maintain dock
schedules and performance metrics Identify and report any shipping
issues to the Materials Supervisor Train team members and recommend
process improvements Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against
documentation (bills of lading, invoices, etc.) Prepare items for
shipment: label, pack, and load/unload materials Handle damaged or
missing shipments and coordinate with vendors for resolution
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or hoists to move materials
Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and materials Ensure
compliance with IATF 16949 standards and company
quality/environmental systems Qualifications: High school diploma
or equivalent; technical training or related certification
preferred 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience in
shipping/receiving or warehouse leadership Strong understanding of
shipping documents, labeling, and safety procedures Ability to
operate forklifts and material handling equipment (certification a
plus) Basic math, reading, and problem-solving skills Comfortable
with physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs Knowledge of
IATF 16949 and EMS procedures is a plus Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting Ability to
regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs Vision requirements include close,
distance, and color vision Work Environment: Fast-paced industrial
setting with exposure to mechanical equipment, noise, and
occasional fumes Outdoor exposure during loading/unloading may
occur Quality & Environmental Responsibility: Proactively identify
and report product or process nonconformities. Support the
