Job Description Job Description Prototype Press Operator Location: Livonia, MI Shift : 1st Pay: $25-$50/hr (Dependent on Experience) Job Summary Looking for a great paying job with the ability to move up with a notable company? We are currently hiring Prototype Press Operators in Livonia, MI. The Prototype Operator plays a crucial role in developing and running prototype stampings, focusing on continuous improvement in quality and productivity. This role requires significant hands-on experience in prototype sheet metal and die work. What You'll Be Doing As a Prototype Press Operator, your core responsibilities will include: Prototyping & Development: Must be willing to develop and run prototype stampings, which may include blank development and creating a prototype die process for others to follow. Press Operation: Operating hydraulic presses with experience working with Kirkside dies, Aluminum, and Steel dies. Die Work : Performing die barbering, die spotting, set up and development using 2, 3, and 4 piece die sets. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and solve problems independently to maintain continuous improvement in quality and productivity. Safety & Focus: Maintaining focus on the job, being self-motivated, and keeping safe by wearing all required protective equipment, including safety glasses. What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you should have the following: Qualifications: 2-3 years experience required in prototype sheet metal (Pay range is $25/hr for minimum experience, up to $50/hr for 30 years). High School Diploma. Ability to work with mathematical concepts and conversions (whole numbers, fractions, ratios, and proportions) and work with measurement devices. Ability to accurately identify and analyze trends (statistical data). Skills: Hydraulic Press Expertise: Must have hands-on experience operating hydraulic presses. Advanced Die Skills: Required skills in die barbering, die spotting, set up, and development using multi-piece die sets. Problem Solving: Strong ability to independently troubleshoot and solve issues to ensure quality and productivity. Why Join Us?
