General Purpose:Interim HealthCare of Novi is seeking an Intake--Coordinator to join our growing team! The Intake Coordinator will be responsible for the intake of referrals and scheduling.Essential Functions:* Complete--intake screening including obtaining, documenting, and analyzing all required information to make a preliminary admission decision.* Receives and logs referrals. Prepares reports and responses to inquiries. Provides telephonic contact and system data entry for customers seeking care/services. * Works in conjuction with clinical staff to adhere to standards of practice for nursing and applicable law and regulations. * Scheduling* Insurance Verification* Authorizations* Communicates with referral sources, outside agencies, health professionals, field staff, and patient families.* Intake screening including obtaining, documenting, and analyzing all required information to make a preliminary admission decision.* After hours/On-Call intake/scheduling functions.* Completes other assigments as requested and assigned.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:* Medical terminology* Ability to develop strong working relationships, process team organization and community resources coordination skills* Strong customer service skills including proactive identification and resolution of customer issues using sound judgments and decision-making skills within parameters established by manager* Strong prioritization and time management skills.
