POSITION:Supervisor, Commercial BillingDEPARTMENT:550 - Commercial Billing OperationsREPORTING SUPERVISOR:Manager, Commercial BillingDIRECT REPORTS:YesFLSA: ExemptEMPLOYMENT STATUS:Direct HireTRAVELREQUIREMENTS:N/A SCHEDULE: Standard Business HoursABOUT THE TEAM The Commercial Billing Operations team is passionate and driven to succeed in delivering exceptional quality and service to our Consumer and Commercial wireless customers. This teams main responsibilities include managing 70+ billing cycles, claim uploads, collections and payments of our customer base. They work closely with other groups within Commercial Billing Operations as well as other departments including the Caring Center, Accounting, and Information Systems teams. ABOUT THE JOBAs our Supervisor, Commercial Billing, your primary responsibilities will be to supervise the Commercial Billing team by ensuring that all invoices are produced and/or uploaded in a timely fashion. Oversee A/R aging, manage exception, rejection and resubmit files. In addition, this individual will oversee a smooth transition of denied claims and non-eligible accounts to other payors or to the retention team. This individual will plan, direct, supervise and evaluate workflow for a group of Commercial Billing Analysts, as well as provide coaching and mentoring, helping them increase their efficiency in the processes they support. This individual will be expected to work closely with their team and other leaders to implement process improvements.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and maintain Commercial Billing Operations processes and standardsProvide direct reports with clearly defined expectations, assigning work/tasks appropriately, providing feedback to track analysts performance and assuring progress toward goals/objectives is madeIdentify global issues at the Payor level, analyzing trends and presenting to management potential solutions Implement strategies to continually improve the department performanceAssist in the interviewing, selection, and training of new personnel and assess the learning curve of the Commercial Billing Analysts via progress trackingManaging the day-to-day outreach of the denial and non-eligibility accounts are worked in a timely fashion using various tools.Ensuring manual, claim uploads and roster billing are generated prior to their assigned due dates.Manage A/R Aging and denial management reporting and alert management of any trends that exceed the established guidelines.Participate in high level VIP calls intended to work through claim issues including denials, configuration/contract issues, etc. as needed.Supervise a staff of Commercial Billing Analysts including developing Key Responsibility Areas, conducting performance evaluations approving timecards and tracking attendanceOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSEducation: Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience Certification(s): N/A Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in billing systems support in a personal emergency response, DME, healthcare or telecommunication preferredMinimum 3 years of supervisory experience leading a team of 8 or more employee requiredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities: Computer skills including typing and prior experience using Microsoft Office SuiteProficient knowledge and use of CostGuard software preferredPersonal Attributes: Resourceful and able to multi-taskAbility to manage and measure workloadsAbility to confront direct reports when problems ariseAbility to maintain composure in a stressful environmentAbility to build effective teamsEffective Communication skillsCommitted to professional growthResults orientedTime management skillsSDL2017
