We Are Hiring:

Patient Care Technician (PCT/Nursing Assistant) - Medical Surgical Unit (4C) - FT/Day (7am-7pm) - Ascension Providence Park Hospital - Novi, MI

 

Unit Description: 17-bed medical/surgical unit with telemetry.  Patient teaching and discharge planning are major components of nursing care on this unit.  Our spiritually centered holistic care with a relationship-based focus allows us to care for the changing needs of patients throughout their stay.  Our team promotes an environment of teamwork, support, and professional development. 

What You Will Do:

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.

• Aid with movement and placement of patients.
• Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.
• Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry preferred. Any issuing authority accepted.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
