36 hours nights

Shift:7pm -7am

Unit Description

Neuroscience ICU 5B: 

Nursing Unit 5B is home to our Neuroscience ICU and utilizes a universal care model approach caring for patients from ICU level through to discharge. This unit serves as our experts in stroke care, and serves an important role in our Joint Commission Stroke Designation.

 

What You Will Do:

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.

• Aid with movement and placement of patients.
• Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.
• Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry preferred. Any issuing authority accepted.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
