The Data Architect will create, plan and implement data solutions across the Learning Care Group IT landscape. They are responsible for reviewing current data practices, recommending enhancements, identifying weaknesses, creating standards, and delivering best in class data platforms. Essential Functions: + Design, build and implement enterprise-class data solutions. + Align standards, frameworks and data with overall business and technology strategy. + Identify and communicate current and emerging data trends and technologies. + Assess and cultivate strategic goals for data with data users, department managers, clients, and other key stakeholders. + Plan, research, and design data architectures. + Coordinate and work with other technical staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedure to anticipate and deliver data needs for LCG functional business units. + Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective availability, protection, and integrity of data assets. + Evaluate and recommend data management tools. + Design and manage data improvement and growth projects. + Identify inefficiencies and gaps in current processes and propose solutions. + Identify data discrepancies and data quality issues, and work to ensure data consistency and integrity. Minimum Job Qualifications : Bachelor's degree and 5 plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (required). Other Skills and Abilities Qualifications : + Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Server and other Azure database services + Extensive experience working in an Agile environment. + Strong knowledge of database structures. + Excellent organizational and analytical abilities. + Good written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain data solutions. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as business acumen and a commercial outlook. + Excellent customer service and follow-up skills with both internal and external customers. + Capable of working with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. + Proficient time management, organizational skills and ability to meet established deadlines. + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. + Ability to operate with little instruction on day to day work and general instructions on new assignments. + Creative problem-solving skills. Ability to think "out of the box" and apply nontraditional solutions to challenging issues. + Ability to write reports, test plans and scripts, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. + Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. + Experience creating and documenting work processes and procedures. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Successful applicants for this position must either provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or undergo weekly testing as a condition of employment.
