While working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager, the candidate in this role will be expected to manage the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The candidate will primarily focus on matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Located in Novi, Michigan, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire opening. What you get to do every day - Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs - Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them - Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks - Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling - Complete full-cycle A/P - Provide internal and external audit assistance as required - Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily - Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time - Carry out additional projects as required - Prior experience in an A/P role preferred - Foundational knowledge in Code Invoices - Strong familiarity with Purchase Orders - Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) - Expertise in workday - Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred - Detailed and have the ability work independently
