Are you someone who enjoys handling all aspects of full-life cycle recruiting (sourcing, assessment, internal client management, developing offers) and has experience in both manufacturing and corporate recruiting? This could be the role for you! The Talent Acquisition Specialist reports directly to the HR Vice President and is key in providing a consultative partnership with hiring teams in order to recruit and hire top talent into the organization. This is a highly visible role within the organization and the successful candidate will be able to make a huge impact to our overall business by hiring the right talent for our business needs.

  • Can you find a needle in a haystack? We are looking for someone who can define a sourcing strategy to leverage multiple channels such as direct contact, LinkedIn, niche associations, employee referrals, internal applicants, and other relevant sources to identify and attract qualified talent based on position requirements and objectives.
  • Can you read people? Use your strong assessment skills to screen and interview candidates in order to match hiring criteria and BrassCraft qualities. Have the courage to identify and voice concerns when appropriate so we can avoid hiring mistakes.
  • Can you build positive relationships? This role requires you to exemplify strong consultative skills to partner with hiring managers, provide guidance and be the subject matter expert when it comes to hiring. Be bold enough to provide differing input and raise concerns. On occasion, you'll also partner with outside vendors when needed.
  • Do you care about your candidates? It's a must! Candidate care is always top of mind at BrassCraft. We strive in making sure our candidates have the best experience with us and receive timely feedback and updates.
  • Got analytical skills? Those will be needed to prepare offer recommendations that meet both candidate and business needs and ultimately secure top talent to the organization. This means being proactive to address potential gaps in expectations to ensure offer acceptance and then working with the HR Business Partner/Managers to finalize and extend offers.
  • Can you market open jobs? Collaborate with hiring managers to create attractive and enticing job descriptions for new openings. No more boring job descriptions! Know which positions to post where and be able to leverage multiple platforms and posting sites for niche positions.
  • Are you efficient? We have established recruitment processes and are always looking for ways to improve and increase our efficiency. Share your experience and ideas so we can create and maintain best practices that provide the ultimate positive experience for our candidates and hiring managers.
  • Are you socially and internet savvy? Do you love being on social platforms? As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you can assist in promoting and building the BrassCraft employer brand using our online platforms and participating in other branding activities.
  • Do you enjoy special projects? You'll also participate in various related projects, tasks, and trainings that contribute to our overall success (i.e. interviewing skills training, LinkedIn training, company initiatives).

    • You need to be motivated, enthusiastic and love recruiting for open positions! Strong interpersonal skills are required with the ability to work within a team and interact with all levels of the organization.
    • We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field. The equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
    • As far as related experience, you need to have a minimum of 5 years' experience in full-cycle recruitment. Manufacturing and corporate recruiting experience is required. Previous experience or education in Human Resources is desired.
    • Relationships are key. You will need to work successfully with various hiring teams and know how to guide managers to ensure the recruitment process moves smoothly and efficiently.
    • Interviewing skills are a must. We'll look for demonstrated ability to assess candidates, to identify gaps and investigate concerns along the way.
    • You'll need to be able to work within an Applicant Tracking Systems. Experience working with HR systems is also helpful. We currently use Workday and Phenom. Skills and proficiency using MS Office applications and LinkedIn Recruiter are also necessary to be successful in this role.
