Who are we?Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA), established in 1916, is a member owned and operated dairy cooperative. MMPA serves approximately 1,600 dairy farmer members in Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin and Ohio. The dairy cooperative, the 10th largest in the U.S., employs approximately 630 people in four states.
MMPA markets nearly 5 billion pounds of milk annually to fluid milk customers and food ingredient manufacturers. MMPA operates two manufacturing plants in Ovid and Constantine, Michigan and a cheese plant in Middlebury, Indiana. Products made at the Michigan plants include butter, ultra-filtered milk, powdered milk, cream and condensed skim milk. These products are sold to a wide range of food manufacturers who make end-use products such as candy, ice cream, pudding, baked goods, cheese and yogurt.About the opportunity:The Michigan Milk Producers Association is seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our organization for our 2024 summer internship program.In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines, procedures and challenges. You will focus on learning and supporting the organization through the IT department as a level one support desk technician as well as gaining an understanding of IT security through various projects.Your ProfileStrong interest in the IT Support and/or Security industriesHigh school degree or equivalentMust be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive creditProficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)Must be 18 years of ageExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSelf-directed and able to work without supervisionEnergetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideasTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily.
