Manager Center for Elders’ Independence is a PACE (Program of
All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) organization (PO) that uses an
interdisciplinary team approach for care planning and implementing
purposeful high quality, affordable, and integrated health care
services to the elderly. Our elderly meet PACE requirements as
prescribed by CMS and are referred to as participants. Our PO
includes Adult Day Health Centers and primary care clinics,
promoting participant autonomy, quality of life, and the ability
for individuals to live in their communities. CEI Foundation is a
Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation exclusively dedicated to
activities to further the purposes of the Center for Elders’
Independence through fundraising and the development and execution
of fund development projects for the financial benefit of CEI’s
mission and strategic plans. THE POS I TION : Under the direction
of the Executive Director, CEI Foundation Development Manager is
responsible for oversight of the Foundation’s daily operations,
managing its finances, and ensuring its philanthropic mission is
met through strategic fundraising and grantmaking. Key duties
involve developing and executing fundraising campaigns, cultivating
donor relationships, managing budgets, and overseeing grant
programs. The CEI Foundation Development Manager also handles
administrative tasks, reporting, and ensuring compliance with
regulations. This role will work collaboratively with CEI leaders,
CEI Foundation Trustees, volunteers, and other stakeholders to
ensure that fundraising campaigns and community awareness
strategies are implemented timely, effectively and with excellence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Fundraising: Develop and implement
comprehensive strategies for raising funds and meeting fundraising
goals. Identify, cultivate, and solicit donations from diverse
sources, e.g. individual, employee giving, appeals, corporate,
community partners, and sponsorships. Campaign Management: Organize
and execute fundraising campaigns, including events and appeals to
increase awareness and donations. Streamline workflows and improve
processes for efficiency, compliance and adherence Ensure
promotional materials, resources and tools are used and/or created
to communicate Foundation work. Donor Relations: Build and maintain
relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
Cultivate and collaborate with CEI stakeholders to grow strong
relationships with CEI and CEIF sponsors, business partners and
community supporters to ensure awareness and community engagement
with the mission of the CEI Foundation. Create and manage donor
recognition and stewardship programs. Grant Writing and Management:
Oversee the full life cycle of our grant program to include
writing, application management, and evaluation. Write and manage
grant proposals and reports for foundations, corporations, and
government agencies. Serve as point of contact for grantees
providing education, guidance and support Data and Reporting:
Utilizing technology platforms, applications and systems to manage
donor information, track progress against fundraising goals, and
report on outcomes. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree is required,
preferably in management, communications, marketing, public
relations or a related field. CFRE certification is desirable. Four
or more years of proven experience in fundraising or development,
preferably in non-profit organizations. Experience or direct
knowledge in the fields of healthcare, social services, adult
and/or aging services; or personal experience in caregiving.
Expertise in designing and implementing comprehensive fundraising
plans using in-person (individual and group events), print, digital
and social media. Proven experience working with internal and
contracted services professionals, vendors, agencies or teams.
Experience with donor databases (Salesforce, Donor Perfect, or
similar), fundraising campaigns, or event management strongly
preferred. Skills and Competencies Project Management Skilled at
organizing complex tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines
with accuracy. Collaboration Works well in teams and across
departments; builds positive relationships with team members,
volunteers, and donors. Communication Strong written, verbal
skills, and interpersonal skills are essential for building
relationships internally and externally. Organizational Skills:
Attention to Details, ensure accuracy Proficient in using Microsoft
365 Office Suite, CRM and/or donor databases, and online
fundraising/event platforms; comfortable learning new systems.
Excellent Time management and organizational skills necessary for
managing multiple campaigns and tasks. The above job description is

communities. Unlike other healthcare plans, CEI is not a
"fee-for-service" plan. It is a “capitation” healthcare plan. CEI
is paid a set amount for each person enrolled in our program,
whether or not that individual seeks care. We are a growing company
