As an Insulation Installer, you would be responsible for completing a majority of residential new construction installations and lite commercial projects. This work entails stapling fiberglass or rock wool batts to exterior walls and ceilings before drywall, paneling, or plaster walls are put in place. What You Can Expect Load and log materials Erect scaffolding or ladders to the height needed Cut insulation materials to size and install insulation materials by stapling, gluing, wiring, nailing or operating equipment that injects loose-fill or foamed insulation Maintain tools and truck housekeeping May be required to drive a company vehicle and follow all driving safety rules and DOT requirements at all times Work independently or with a crew To Be Successful Maintain a valid driver's license Experience in the construction industry Perform basic math skills Position requires a drug test and motor vehicle report to be completed, contingent upon employment. For Your Safety For your safety, you must observe OSHA job site safety rules and know the location of the MSDS packets in your vehicle. In addition, you would be using common hand tools, at times working in tight spaces, and climbing ladders/scaffolding. On the job site, you will at times need to lift 100lbs, stand for extended periods of time and need to bend, twist, and turn at shoulders, waist and knees to install insulation.
